Interestingly, BBC World radio contacted our owner Sara Vestin Rahmani and her office to ask if Sara would participate in an interview about her journey. Uniquely, the interview was to be held by BBC world radio host Kim Chakanetsa. Of course we thought that was just lovely. Moreover, the other participant in the interview was to be the amazing author Stephanie Land. Of course, Sara decided to join the conversation. Obviously, she was keen to chat about the topic and also to listen to Stephanie’s journey.

Who is Stephanie Land?

Uniquely, Stephanie Land is the bestselling author of Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive. Interestingly poignant memoirs highlighting the plight of overworked and underpaid domestic workers in the USA. Amazingly, her story has recently been turned into the successful Netflix series, Maid.

Uniquely, Sara Vestin Rahmani moved from Sweden to London when she was 19. First of all, she went to work as an au pair for a rich family. Actually, Sara thought she would only stay for a year. However, she quickly became embedded in the family’s life. Uniquely, she was exposed to a lifestyle she never imagined was possible. Interestingly, Sara Vestin Rahmani is now the director of Bespoke Bureau and the British Butler Academy. Exclusively, The Bespoke Bureau are a high-end recruitment and training agency of domestic and elite service staff. Furthermore, Sara is involved with a number of charities. Also, she runs training workshops online together with a number of qualified teachers. Needless to say, the agency is busy.
