Fluent English speaking experienced and pro active couple required for family residence in a rural country side location, close to the city of St Petersburg. The principals work in the city each day and the 3 children, eldest son at home, youngest studying in London and a daughter who lives off the property are delightful employers. The couple are required to be highly organised and have previous experience of working within a team, caring for high net worth households or a 5 star hotel background.
The main house is four bedrooms, with a guest house of 2 bedrooms, and a separate spa area needs to be kept to immaculate standards. The housekeeper will work with another housekeeper and will include all general housekeeping duties. Ideally the housekeeper will have excellent laundry skills and be able to take care of the principals wardrobes, pack and unpack.
The Housemanager/butler will be required to manage all the staff at the residence, which comprises 3 housekeepers, one handyman, and 3 security personnel who work on a rota. You will co-ordinate rotas and liaise with the principals personal assistant and office personnel regards their travel commitments and itineries.
The principals cook mainly for themselves but do require assistance in the kitchen, ideally the butler or the housekeeper will be comfortable to prepare light simple dishes on the odd occasion. The butler will also carry out all the usual front of house duties, which will include formal table service, provisioning and stock control.
A car is provided and some errands, shopping duties will be required, only one of the couple need drive. The couple must be animal friendly as the family have a dog ( Labrador) and a cat.
Although this is the principals main residence the family do travel frequently, it is expected that when the family are in residence the working hours will be longer and when they are away extra time off will be taken.

This is a new position for a very beautiful chateau set in approx 250 acres of land. This is a privately owned but corporate facility of an International company. The chateau has been refurbished to 5* standard and will function similar to that of a boutique hotel. The residence comprises ten suites, all refurbished to the highest standards, with beautiful fine furnishings, antiques and numerous art works.
The Chateau, which can hold up to 24 guests at one time, has an impressive commercial kitchen. Once appointed, the Chef will also be in charge of recruiting a Sous Chef. The Chef will be in charge of cooking all meals for the guests of the Chateau. It is extremely important that applicants are able to cater for any of the guests’ special diets. You will be producing a wide variety of menus and dishes spanning any cuisine, and thinking of creative themes and seasonal ideas for menus throughout the year. You should be prepared to cook anything from a fresh and simple salad through to Michelin standard fare, as well as the occasional event or dinner party.
The Chef will also be in charge of sourcing the best suppliers and must be able to establish excellent working relationships with any contacts/suppliers and other Chateau and local staff. There is also a small kitchen garden for which the Chef will need to be able to liaise with the gardeners when planning the menus.
The housekeeper will have sole responsibility of the day to day management of the interior, dealing with stock control, monitoring of linen and purchases. Previous hotel or large household experience is essential to this role. Full team of staff employed.

The family has three children (11, 13 and 14 years) but the children are fairly self-sufficient. The housekeeper and cook will be required to handle general housekeeping duties including cleaning, washing and ironing, shopping, and preparing fresh meals for the family and for the freezer. The gardener, groom, and maintenance person will be looking after the land. There are approx 200 acres which is mostly farmed and approx 100 acres of woodland.
Immediate gardens around the house are mostly lawns, informal flower beds and shrubs, hence easy to maintain. There are paddocks, equestrian facilities, swimming pool and tennis court which will also require general maintenance. Previous experience in Woodland management would be a plus. Tractors, chain saws, strimmers etc are all available and previous experience in their use desirable.

The position is based on the family estate in Southern Ireland but will incorporate travel to Spain at least 4-5 times per year.
The family enjoy a healthy lifestyle and eat very healthy food, primarily based on the Mediterranean style of eating but with lots of fresh vegetables, salads, fish and organic meat. The cook/chef must have a keen interest in food and nutrition. A lot of produce is grown on the estate and ideally the cook will be able to make jams, preserves and chutneys, bake for special occasions etc. The emphasis is on food preparation and presentation of light fresh healthy family meals but with some entertaining. There will be business lunches, informal family and friends visiting and occasionally a more formal dinner party. The cook will care for the kitchen and dining room, have responsibility for all household shopping and provisioning, be willing to source new suppliers and assist two other housekeepers where possible with some light housekeeping duties.
Staff on the estate are all very long term and have a good team spirit.

A wonderful opportunity for lovely clients based on a beautiful country residence near Ipswich. The clients are seeking a top class house keeper with superb attention to detail and an efficient work ethic. The housekeeper will be required to fulfill all day to day duties, laundry, cleaning, polishing etc. whilst also providing help in the kitchen, preparing good quality simple family meals and assisting the lady of the house with shoot lunches and dinner parties.
There are two school aged children (both are boarders) and during school holidays, it will be normal for the family to travel abroad. During this time the couple will then need to reside at the property full time, maintaining the smooth running of the house and caring for 3 dogs, two of which are gun dogs.
In addition an outdoors handy man is required to assist with gardening duties and to assist the groom with the upkeep of stables, mucking out, rugging and turning out etc. Gardening knowledge is preferred and a passion for the outdoors essential. You will need to be physically fit, with previous experience of tractor driving and maintaining machinery a big plus. A groom and pt Gardener are employed so an all-round helpful couple, with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude are required to assist with the maintenance of this residence. This position requires a five day week inclusive of weekends with two days off mid week. A lovely two bedroom cottage (furnished or unfurnished) is available with this position; in the village a few minutes down the road, therefore a driver is essential. There may be the occasional airport or school run too.
This position requires an experienced domestic couple, with an eye for detail and with the flexibility to work weekends and longer hours during sporting seasons. Salary negotiable but in the region of £700npw. SEPTEMBER START (REF : HU2015) Fluent English essential.

A wonderful opportunity to work for a charming retired couple at their beautiful residence in rural Surrey. We have happily worked with this employer for many years and the current couple highly recommend. This is a traditional service role and previous experience is required. Primarily a high standard of traditional British cooking is required – Fillet steak, lobster, crispy bacon etc. and you must be capable of catering for up to 8 people, anything above this and an external company will be bought in. A high standard of housekeeping is required, this is a large residence but only 2 rooms are used on a daily basis. Husband to act as chauffeur and handyman, who will be required to manage and drive a fleet of vehicles including a Bentley. You will also assist with household duties, serve at meal times and help in the management of the gardens and indoor swimming pool. An external Gardener and Window Cleaner are already employed.
Both members of the couple need to drive and it is essential that you live on the property – the property is never to be left unoccupied. Two days off mid week, four weeks paid holiday and a salary of £700-£750 npw is offered along with a lovely self contained two bedroom flat. Sorry No pets or dependants.
