We are the only Butler training academy in the world recommended by the British Butler association. Not only do we ensure that we are giving our students a quality education, but we provide them with the security that if we fail on this promise, they have an option of re-course with us. They can have an assessed course or just a practical/hands on butler course, residential or live out. We aim to provide our students with everything they need to be successful.
Who teaches at the British Butler Academy?
All British Butler Academy teachers have at least 30 years experience in the Butler and Housekeeping/House Management industry. The Butler Academy’s trainers are also trained by our master trainers at the Butler Academy’s HQ. The British Butler Academy is a Franchise so we make sure that the standard or training is identical anywhere in the world that you train with the British Butler Academy. The teachers have regular reviews with our management to ensure that they are always up to date with their teaching skills and therefor able to offer you elite training at all times.
What should I wear to the Butler Academy?
You must wear black trousers and black shoes. We provide shirts, ties and gloves. Please wear your hair up and limit any make up. Cover up any tattoos and piercings. Be hygienic and clean. We often have Media/Press and TV with us so it is essential that you are well presented at all times for that purpose but also to be in line with the high level of professionalism we teach at the Butler Training school.
Who trains with the Butler Academy?
The Butler Academy trains existing hotel staff, stewardesses and stewards, cabin crew, housekeepers, house managers, Butlers and other domestic staff to become the elite in the service industry.
How is the training conducted?
To ensure that the students get the most out of our courses, our programme offers both theory in classrooms as well as practical hands on training in a real life setting. The practical part is about 70% of the training. This ensures a high quality training model and we make sure that all students learn all the skills inside and out.
How long are the Butler Academy’s courses?
The Butler courses and silver service courses plus other courses run from 1 day to 2 weeks. We offer various day, weekend and week modules depending on your time, schedule and budget.
Where is the Butler Academy located?
The British Butler Academy is based at our Head quarters in Central London and in our luxury London mansion. Our HQ is called Blackwell House and is a historical, listed and graded building in the heart of London City on Guildhall Yard. At our Estate we operate British Butler Training on a residential basis so you will live and board with us whist getting trained by the Best Butler Academy in the world. The British Butler Academy also does in house training at VIP homes and 5 Star Hotels looking to find Staff Training.
What is the entry criteria to the British Butler Academy?
There is no entry criteria other than a genuine willingness to serve and a passion for the industry. The Butler Academy’s courses are suited to all ages and all people interested in working as a Butler or excelling in the Butler or Private service/Hotel service industry. We are however extremely popular and require an interview/application procedure before you can sign up. Everyone is not suitable to train at the British Butler Academy and we want you to get the best possible return for your money.
You must be 18 to join the British Butler Academy or be 16 with a parent certificate.
How do I know that the training is authentic?
The certificates you gain from us are recognised worldwide and should help you find a job or up your profile fast.
Is there some form of guarantee with you?
Although we do not give refunds, all our students are welcome back to the same training course they booked (if we have available space) in the next 12 months. This is to guarantee you have learned and understood what you came to us for and that you are 100% satisfied.
When will I receive my British Butler Academy Certificate?
The completion certificates will be handed out at the end of the course and are very sought after in the industry. Everyone who participates at the British Butler Academy gets an attendance certificate. We can make formal assessments (theoretical or practical) if you wish at an extra charge. We are about to become a recognised learning centre and will shortly be accredited we hope.
Will I get a reference?
If the Butler Academy management believe that you were a great student and deserve an endorsement from the British Butler Academy then we may provide you with a reference. This is, however at the discretion of the director, manager or the head Butler trainer.
Will The British Butler Academy find me a Butler job after the training?
The British Butler Academy is also a Butler and domestic staff recruitment agency. Once we have butler or service trained you, we will try and help you find either an internship as a butler in a hotel and/or work as a butler in a household. However, there is no guarantee that we will find work as a Butler.
